  35. 'CARDIFF ITALIC' is a high quality font containing full hinting for correct 
  36. rendering at small point sizes and a total of 256 kerning pairs for correct 
  37. character spacing. It is supplied 'as is' and no waranty is implied or given 
  38. by the author. The font is usable for both body text and for headlines and 
  39. renders well at any size from 8 point upwards. It is based on a printed 
  40. specimen of hot metal type of 'TIMES' supplied by The Monotype Type Foundry. 
  41. The font contains a full range of upper and lower case letters together with 
  42. the figures 0 to 9 and a full range of punctuation. There are a limited 
  43. number of diacritics, some of which are non-standard as they have been 
  44. developed to take account of the additional characters necessary for printing 
  45. in the Welsh language. It was hand traced in order to achieve a high quality 
  46. outline and compiled using Fontographer 3.5.2. Kerning information was 
  47. added using the shareware program pfmedit.exe. This font represents 
  48. aproximately 400 manhours of work.
